Trauma-Informed mental support

Thanks, you’re here...

Which means something in you is ready for change.

Take a breath. You’re in the right place

Maybe life threw you off balance. Maybe your body is holding on to more than you realized. Or maybe things look fine on the outside, but inside, it’s a different story.

This space is for slowing down. For reconnecting with what’s underneath the surface. For finding steady ground. Not by pushing through, but by gently working with your body, your story, and your pace.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be “ready.”

You just have to show up. I’ll meet you there.

So, what is this exactly?

Trauma-Conscious Yoga

Gentle movement. Slow, curious exploration of what your body is trying to say. And what it needs to feel safe again.

Somatic Experiencing

Inspired by the work of Peter Levine, we’ll tune in to the body’s language. Tension, tremors, tiny shifts. The nervous system is a guide to your body, and we’re going to learn to read it. Helping you release trauma and tensions.

A lot of listening, and even more laughter

Because healing doesn’t have to feel like a dentist’s appointment. You’ll probably cry sometimes, and laugh at the weirdest, most unexpected moments. Both are signs it’s working. Both of the kind that sneaks up on you in the middle of the mess.

Common Questions (and Honest Answers)

Am I going to be fixed?

No, because you are not broken. You’re already whole.

Even if a little frayed around the edges.

What if I don’t want to talk about my trauma?

You don’t have to. You don't need to. Seriously. We start with where you are. Sometimes that means lying on the floor and noticing your feet. Sometimes it means crying about crying. Either way, your the one who sets the pace.

What if I don’t feel anything?

Then we’ll start with that. Numbness is a feeling, too. One that’s often done a very good job protecting you.

Will this be easy?

Nope. You’re going to have to do the work. But you won’t have to do it alone.

Is this therapy?

Not quite. Therapy talks things through. This also listens to your body, your breath, your fight or flight response. We don’t diagnose or dig into childhood. But we do go deep, gently.

Will I have to cry in front of you?

Maybe. Maybe not. You won’t be forced into it, but if they show up, they’re welcome. Tears, silence, sarcastic jokes. All emotional expressions are welcome here.

Will you be there for me?

Yes. In a friendly and laughing way, we’ll walk and talk through the aches and oddities of being a person.

What if I’ve tried everything and nothing worked?

Then this might be the gentle, body-honoring approach your system’s been waiting for.

What if I’m too broken for this to work?

You're not. And even if part of you believes you are, another part showed up here. Reading this, looking for support. That part knows healing is still possible.

Who is this for?

  • People with trauma (big, small, sneaky, loud — all types welcome)
  • Humans in transition: breakups, burnout, grief, identity shifts
  • Folks who feel stuck in talk therapy
  • Anyone who feels too tender for this world, but keeps showing up anyway

Ready?

If you’re curious, scared, hopeful, skeptical. That's all good. That means you’re alive. Let’s start there.

"There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask
"What if I fall?"

Oh but my darling,

What if you fly?"

Reviews

"Working with Nesa helped me reconnect with my body in a way I didn’t know I needed. Her sessions are supportive, down-to-earth, and surprisingly enjoyable"

RACHEL

"I came in as a complete beginner, not just to yoga but to anything body-related. Nesa made the work feel accessible, without watering it down. I’ve gained more than tools. I’ve found a way to feel more at home in my own skin. Her humor and patience made a big difference."

Manfred

"For over three years I’ve worked with Nesa, and I keep coming back because no session ever feels the same — yet all of them feel grounding. There’s always space for where I’m at, whether it’s stress, grief, or just a long week. I leave feeling more connected, calmer, and a little more myself."

Sandra

"The techniques Nesa taught me had a profound effect on the calming of my nervous system. Throughout our sessions I learned how to recognize the triggers and how to self regulate. The information was well delivered, explained clearly and her teaching style is organized, structured and she's just super friendly."
